Rice and Onion Cabbage Rolls
Place frozen cabbage rolls in a single layer in a covered casserole. Add liquid half way up the cabbage rolls, (I like to use chicken broth, you can also use tomato juice and water). Place in the oven and cook at 325 F for 2 ½ hours. Watch they do not burn as you may have to add more liquid, if too much is added at the beginning the rice will get mushy.
Meat Cabbage Rolls
Place uncooked frozen cabbage rolls in a covered roaster For two dozen: add 6 cups of tomato juice and 5 cups of water (as the rice is uncooked) To sour the cabbage: add ½ cup of vinegar and 2 tbsp. of salt. Cover and put in the oven and cook at 350F for 4 hours. In the crock pot: cook on high for 6 hours or on low for 12 hours.
